Crazy hair

I have finally learned my lesson. I am never asking Duane to comb Avery's hair for me again. O.k., I shouldn't say never, I might ask him if I'm truly desperate. Here she is after Duane made his attempt at a nice coif. Need I say more?

Avery says "Hi Lauren".

Duane and Avery enjoying a beautiful night.
I can't get away for two seconds without the little creep attacking me.

Duane and Avery playing outside. Look how green our lawn is. It has taken us two years to get that crappy lawn in shape. I can't believe we are thinking about moving.

Come home soon Na'Na

Avery loves to swing. She sure hope Na'Na' comes home soon so she can push her in the swing.

Here are some pics I borrowed from Angel from the Race for the Cure. We had an awesome time. Can't wait for next year.

Missing in this picture are Angel, A.J., J.D. and Meiki.
Poor Avery couldn't stay awake during breakfast.
The adorable family.

Diarrhea everywhere.

For those of you who haven't had to deal with explosive diarrhea, heres a little peak. This happens about every two hours. Diarrhea does not care where you are, what your wearing, or what time of the day, and ruins everything is touches. The tricky part is keeping baby on hard surfaces, or on top of something waterproof. Not always easy with a mobile baby.

Avery Loo Hoo got the flu.

Avery got the flu this weekend. It all started Saturday morning on the way to the Cure for Cancer race. She puked all over me while I was getting her ready to get out of the house. I didn't think much of it until she projectile puked on me in the car. The puking went on for 24 hours and the diarrhea is still going strong. She is so beat, all she wants to do is cuddle and sleep.

Avery cuddling with her dad.
Duane loves it when she sleeps on his chest.
Avery sleeping in her "my tummy doesn't feel good" position.

Just one more video for NaNa and Gavin

Avery trying to say uh-oh with her dad.

So close to being done.

Avery and Duane admiring the new carpet. We still have to install cabinets on either side of the tv unit, and we will put the fireplace and mantle in (under the tv opening) this fall.

Today Avery started making a weird noise. Duane thought she was choking, but really she was just trying to communicate in a language that uses sounds similar to that of clearing a hairball out your throat.

This ones for Angel.

For all you people who said boys don't have cute clothes, check out Knuckleheads.

Duane tormenting Avery.

Avery and her daddy are the best of friends. Avery's first word was Dad-da, although I don't think she knows what that means.

What a weekend.

Avery loves her new toy. However, I'm sure it will be tossed aside to the graveyard of toys in her bedroom only to be replaced by a doorstop.
In her new found health, Avery has decided she loves to scream instead of the cute babble she used to do. Gotta love anti-biotics.

It was quite the weekend for Avery and the family. Avery returned from her NaNa's friday with Gavin and NaNa in tow. Avery returned with two new top teeth and healthier ears. I painted the basement all day friday, and Duane, with the help of his bro, finished the electrical. The basement is officially ready for carpet! Saturday Avery and I made a short appearance at Olivia's birthday bash, picked NaNa and Gavin up from where we had left them (Chuck-E-Cheeses) and went home to help clean up the basement. Avery took the oppurtunity to try out the stairs when the gate was left open for only a matter of seconds. She landed face down on the cement after literally flying down 13 stairs. I had to cover my ears and her dad tried to race her to the bottom before she hit. There was sadness for about 5 minutes from Avery and all night from Duane. Sunday Duane worked all day in the yard so we could have that bbq we have been talking about for years.
