All day I thought of you....I was at the zoo.

Avery had her 4 month immunizations today. It hurts me more than it hurts her to get them. That reminds me of a saying that I heard many o'times before I got beat for being a brat, "it hurts me to have to do this more than it hurts you". Yeah right! Anyway, a group of us met at the zoo after her shots. It was a a good excuse for us gals to get out into the beautiful weather. Avery passed out about 5 minutes into the trip and woke up just in time to see the giraffes. The beautiful weather has me excited for spring and getting out of the house with Avery on the weekends.

Time flies.

Avery has been pulling herself up onto things for a couple of weeks now. It won't be long before she is emptying my cupboards.

The Beast

Avery loves her pooch Anna. So far Anna is the only hound she likes. She had a fit over her aunt Debbie's dog. They had to lock the poor thing in the bathroom for 4 hours while they were watching her. Last weekend at Shawnae and Jeff's she screamed when the ol' black dog Jessie got near her. Anna loves Avery as well. I can't get Anna to quit licking Avery every time she passes her. It drives me crazy. Besides, my kid has white trash tendencies and I don't need her smelling like dog breath.

What the......

Shawnae likes to lay down with Avery during nap time and listen to her meditation cd's. Around a half hour after tucking the two of them in bed I heard a distress call from my mother. When I entered the room Shawnae was almost in tears, crying that Avery had attacked her during the best part of her meditation. What a monster.

The Bodyguard

I was at Shawnae and Jeff's house (Mom and Dad for those of you who don't know) this weekend. Jeff had surgery on his shoulder and will be out of work for three months. It is rare that I get to see my bro and his baby Camden, but they graced us with their presence this weekend. Camden turns one this march and is twice Avery's size. He didn't seem to be too interested in Avery, however Avery couldn't keep her eyes off him.

Off with your head.

Lauren, get ready for the guillotine. It has been sharpened. Kiss your blond head goodbye. For Floyds sake I think you can still breastfeed without a head. This is my first blog, so you better believe its only going to get better from here. Of course I will be posting lots of pictures of the cutest baby to ever to come out of a womb, mine, Avery!
