Poor baby

Avery hitched a ride to her NaNa's with her Aunt Rosie yesterday. The ride didn't go very well because Avery cried for the last half of the ride. She is usually is a good little traveler so I felt bad for asking Rosie take her. Her cousins, Ainslee and Colton, were riding with her and noted she was pulling on her ears a lot. When my mom picked her up, she made a pit stop at the hospital to visit my dad and have Dr. O look in her ears. Sure enough she had an ear infection in both ears. Poor baby. I had taken her to the doctor twice suspicious she might have an ear infection. Both doctors reported negative findings. I feel horrible so I'm going to make it up to her with a BMW for her 16th birthday. Sorry pumpkin.

Sorry...

Avery would like to apologize to her NaNa for her previous blog. NaNa called this morning to say that when she saw the blog she got sick to her stomach. Avery promptly cleaned the windows and is sorry for her cruel joke.

This blogs for you NaNa.

If any of you know my mother, then you know she is a little OCD about her windows being clean. While visiting us this weekend she took it upon herself to clean my filthy windows which have only been cleaned once since I moved in. After laboring over the windows for hours, she entered the house having conquered the filth and promptly pointed at Avery and said "Don't you dare touch those windows you little brat!" Well NaNa, Avery would just like to say "this ones for calling me a brat!"

Lets play dressup.

I'm not sure Bridy got the bow quite right.
I love Avery in green.
Avery and her handsome Dad.

Bridy was so excited to go through Avery's clothes that she decided to have a little fashion show. All outfits were co-ordinated by Bridy and all pictures were taken by Bridy (except the last).

Bridy and Avery watching a little Baby Einstein

Its cruel putting a pasty white Avery next to an olive skin Brighton. Tea for two.
Having an indoor picnic because the weather outside is so windy.

As Martha Stewart would say, "It's a good thing".

I am so excited for our second annual snowmobiling vacation to come around next year. I am really looking forward to it. I thought I would post this so that everyone else can reminisce the good times. A.J. is missing from my set of pics and I promise to make it up to him.

Calgon take me away

With Avery crawling and climbing all over the place I can hardly get away. If I stand still for more than 10 seconds, the speedy little brat catches up and climbs up my legs.

Mini Makeover

Avery has been pulling herself up in her crib for several months now, so after months of begging Duane to lower her mattress, he finally did. However, her existing bed skirt that Shawnae made for her ended up being too long for the new mattress height. I loved the toile that Shawnae had picked out, but I didn't want to be bothered with hemming (or bothered to beg Shawnae to do it). So what is a frugal girl to do? IKEA of course. Here is a pic of the mini makeover in Avery's room. I have an idea of how I want her room to look once we get her a big girls bed, so I'm not ready to paint yet. That means I wanted to work with the existing color, so here are the results. Not bad for mere $100. Note Avery and Chelsea to the right. P.S., I don't love the rug, but I was too lazy to take it back.

I'm so tired.

Avery sometimes refuses to be put down in her crib for a nap, and the sucker that I am, I don't like to let her cry. Instead I let her watch Baby Einstein (a rare moment), and immediately she fell asleep.
